Ronald Elliott Alsup, 78, of Denton, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 in Denton. He was born September 29, 1937 in Papoose Camp, OK to Carl Richard and Lera Isabell Elliott Alsup. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1958. He was the owner of Rocking A Enterprises. He was a member of Denton Humane Society, Denton Board of Realtors and longtime member of North Texas Fair Association.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Macomb Cemetery in Whitesboro. Pallbearers will be Carl Thorman, Ford Thorman, Tyler Hall, Rick Hall, Randy Hall and Alan Alsup. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Harris, Darren Rimke, Mickey McNary, Dee Walston, Bill Neu and Dale Ward.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Thorman and husband, Bob of Rockwall; son, Mike Alsup and Jana Greenhaw of Denton; brother, Dale Alsup of Whitesboro and 9 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Dolores Hall and Mavis Gill and brother, Doug Alsup.
