Ronald Dean Collins 70, of Denton, Texas passed away on Sunday April 8, 2018, in Denton. Ron was born March 18, 1948 to LeRoy Collins and Hazel McClung in Los Angeles, CA.

Ron was an Army Medic in the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart Recipient. Ron was a father, a son, and a loving grandfather; a musician, an artist, and a friend to many.

Ron is survived by his son Aaron Collins and his wife, Jaqueline Collins; his two grandchildren, Owen and Callie; his cousins Kenneth McClung and wife Lynna, and Virginia Jones and husband Roland; and many wonderful friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother Hazel McClung.

A memorial service will be held at Shady Shores Baptist Church on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.
