Ronald Douglas Sanford, 77, of Ponder passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. He was born on February 6, 1941 in La Mesa, Texas to Douglas and Essie Viola (McGee) Sanford. He was one of six children.

Ronald attended school in La Mesa and went on to enlisted in the Air Force; He was discharged in 1960. Ronald was self-employed as the owner of a construction business.

He is survived by his daughters, Melissa King and husband, Matt of Missouri City, Texas and Amy Hall of Frisco, Texas, his son, Guy Sanford and wife, Carolyn of Lake Dallas, Texas, his brother, Garland Sanford, seven grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Essie Sanford, his son, Ronald Sanford, Jr., his sister, Delores Couch and his brothers, John, Robert and Gerald Sanford.

Memorial Services will be on Saturday, December 22 at 1:00 P.M. in the DeBerry Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Leslie officiating.
