Rosemary Lockhart Collom, 86, of Denton, TX, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Plano, TX after a brief illness.  She was born on February 23, 1939.  Her parents were Mark Lockart and Clara (Schneider) Lockhart.   She graduated from Denton High School and North Texas State College.  She married her lifelong friend and sweetheart Grady Collom on February 28, 1959.  Together, they loved music, dancing and traveling.

Rosemary was a schoolteacher for a short period of time, but her favorite pastime soon became raising and showing Boston Terriers and French Bulldogs.  To support this passion, she established her own boarding and grooming business known as 4-C Kennels.  Rosemary enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Shakespeare Club.  She loved to play bingo and participate in arts and crafts activities as well. Her greatest joy later in life was spending time with her granddaughters and great grandsons.

Rosemary is survived by her children; Sherri Collom Miller and Mark Bryan Collom (Karen); 3 granddaughters Courtney Miller Teague (Elliot), Ashley Collom (Nicole) and Paige Collom Ramsey (Matthew); and her sister Ruby Jean Lockhart Averitt.  She was preceded in death by her father, mother and husband.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in the chapel of Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors with Homer Belcher Jr. officiating.  Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the service will be held at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
