Rosie L. Kimble of Denton passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2016 in Denton, Texas. She was born on March 12 in Brazoria, Texas to Malachi Jammer, Jr. and Freddie (Marshall) Jammer.
She attended grade school in Brazoria, TX and went on to graduate from Prairie View A&M University. She made her life in Denton, TX after graduation when she married Eugene Kimble. She was employed at Texas Instruments and later went to work at Texas Woman's University. In 1970-71, she transferred to North Texas State University (now University of North Texas) where she worked for 23 years until her retirement in 1993. After retirement, she taught part-time for the Denton Independent School District in their Adult Basic Education Program which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Her greatest joy as a teacher, however, was studying the Bible with those she came in contact with.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Yolanda Hudson (Michael) and Moni Lynette Kimble of Denton, TX; granddaughter, Mikelyn Cherye Hudson and grandson, Marcais Cherard Hudson of Denton, TX; great-granddaughter, Mia Imani Hudson; two sisters, Roberta Ewing (Eloys) of Houston, TX and Freddie Lee Jammer of Manvel, TX; three brothers, Floyd Jammer, Sr. of Brazoria, TX; Robert Jammer of Houston, TX and Elliott Jammer (Delores) of Brazoria, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, mother and father; sister, Pearline Jammer; brothers, Malachi Jammer III, Marsene Jammer, Sr. and Clever Jammer.
The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. A memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. A graveside burial will follow immediately at Oakwood Cemetery in Denton, Texas.
