Roy Hamm peacefully went to be with his Heavenly Father surrounded by his loving family on November 6, 2014 in Denton, Texas at the age of 88.

He was born on August 12, 1926 in Dallas, Texas to Van Buren & Lena Hamm. He met and married the love of his life of 58 years, Joyce Doss on February 6, 1953 in Grapevine, Texas. He was an extremely devoted and loving Husband, Father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife, father, mother, and two sisters and six brothers. He is survived by children, Troy Hamm and his wife Pamela, Pam Robertson and husband Phil, Terry Hamm and wife Tisa, Tim "Weldon" Hamm; Grandchildren, Jason Hamm and wife, Reina, Kenny Hodges, Bryan Hamm and wife Katie, Cortney Brazzell and husband, Danielle, Brittany Dickerson and husband, Philip, Brooklyn Hamm, Austin Hamm, Garrett Hamm and Nathaniel Hamm; Great Grandchildren, Lane Hodges, Cody Hodges, Kendall Brazzell, Avery Brazzell, Reagan Hamm, Declan Hamm, Landon Brazzell, Tatum Brazzell, & Paxton Brazzell, sisters Dale Hamm, Gale Schell, Hilda Williams, Wilda Coursey, Bessie Cox & numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Sunday Nov 9th, 2014 from 3:00 – 5:00pm at DeBerry Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov 10, 2014, at 11:00am at The Village Church, 1700 Highland Village Rd, Highland Village, Texas 75077 with Rev. Jeff Long officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to The Children's Advocacy of Denton County or Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
