Roy Dean Smith passed away at his home in Sanger, Texas on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. He was born in Bartonville, Texas on October 14, 1936 to Marvin and Dolly Smith. He was a family man, hard worker in the printing business by trade and a great outdoorsman. Roy Dean enjoyed hunting and fishing and sharing the tall tales of his adventures with everyone. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Rodney Smith.

Roy Dean is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Patsy Smith and children Deberah Miller and husband David of Sanger, Texas, Brent Smith and wife Sherri of Collinsville, Texas and Tammy Grafa of Denton, Texas, along with grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Waters Edge Church in Sanger at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 30, 2023.
