Royce Grandville Hull passed away at his home in Ponder, Texas on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born in Big Spring, Texas on June 16, 1939, to Earl and Flora Hull. Royce will be remembered for his never-ending smile, kindness, and love of life. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family along with fishing, hunting, and traveling. Royce was fortunate enough to travel to many parts of the world with his family and embrace many cultures. He was a lifelong rancher and cattleman in addition to his various professional positions. He was a graduate of UNT Business School and first worked for the City of Denton as the Chief Accountant and Purchasing Agent from 1962 through 1963 until he left to join the National Guard. After serving, he returned to the City of Denton until joining EMC Plastics in 1966. He remained at EMC Plastics for 23 years learning all the facets of the injection molding process then became owner of the company in 1989. Under his tenure, Royce converted the primary company business into injection molding for the medical plastics and device industry and partnered with the Denton State School to provide employment opportunities for the residents as the business expanded. EMC Plastics transitioned to Hartsel Industries in 1995 with Royce remaining with the company until his retirement in 1998.
Royce is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Pete and Ted Hull. Royce is survived by his wife Janie Hull, sister Helen Worthan, children Jennifer Alexander and Morgan Hull, and grandchildren Seguin Alexander, Emilia Hull and Marshall Hull.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the Hull Ranch for friends and family on November 11, 2023.
