Ruben Enoch James of Denton, Texas passed away on March 30, 2025. He was born in Krum, Texas on January 4, 1938. He was preceded in death by  'the love of his life", Lillie Pauline Richardson James on January 24, 2025. They were high school sweethearts and married July 6, 1957.

They soon began to raise their family of four children; Teresa Lynne James, Steven Mark James, Kerry Neal James (preceded in death) and David Lee James. Ruben and Pauline were also blessed with five grandchildren: Ricky Guditis, Jeremi Guditis, Molli James, Zachary James and Alisha James; and six great-grandchildren; Dylan Plimpton Guditis, Logan Guditis, Whitley Guditis, Lucas Guditis, Noah Guditis and Gabriella Guditis; and a countless number of cousins, nieces and nephews. At last count, when his father passed away in July 1995 at the age of 94 he had more than 125: children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. His mother passed away May 1, 1966.

Ruben was the 8th born of nine children unto Virgil Carl James and Mae Viola Massey James. Siblings: Naomi Viola Hillard, Clota Mary Ann James, John Wesley James, Paul Edward James, Virgil David James, Nathan James (only surviving sibling), Joseph Ray James, and Luke James.

Ruben attended and graduated from Denton High School in 1958. He worked as a printing pressman for many years, first at Moore Business Forms/Denton where he served as President of their Local Union 575 until they shut down. He then was employed by Moody Printing/Ft. Worth until his retirement.

The "Family/Friends Viewing" is scheduled for Thursday, April 10th from 2 - 4 pm at DeBerry Funeral Home, Denton, Texas.
