Ruby Groves, 86 of Denton, Texas (formerly of Brownfield, Texas) passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Ruby was born on December 26, 1929 in Ovala, Texas to Willie Wesley and Sarah Francis Day.
She married Doyle Pierce on July 11, 1948. Together they had two daughters, Diane and Deborah Pierce. Doyle passed away in 1953. She later married Allen Groves on October 25, 1954. Together they had two children, Dennis and Terri Groves.

She is preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers, Leo, Horace, Mutt, Pete, Henry, William, Billy Jack and Wayne Day; and six sisters, Dorothy, Dovie, Doris, Oceal, Bertha and Wanda; her late husbands, Doyle Pierce and Allen Groves; 3 daughters, Dian Walls, Deborah Neely and Terri Jones. She was a Baptist.

Ruby is survived by one son, Dennis Groves of Denton, Texas; nine grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
