Ruby J. Lawrence passed away in Denton, Tx on Tuesday February 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. Ruby was born April 21, 1942 to Emmitt Lawrence and Lena Lambert(Lawrence). Ruby will always be remembered for her contracting and carpentry skills as well as her love for the study of the word of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Danny Revels and Ivory Gober, and her sister Charlotte Choice, ex-husband/family friend Burt Turner, and God-mother Mother A.B. McKinney.

Visitation for Ruby will be Friday, February 23, 2024 at DeBerry Funeral Home  from 6-8p.m. and services, Saturday, February 24 at 11 a.m at St. Andrew's Church of God in Christ.

Ruby is survived by her nephews Dustin Choice, Ronald Choice II, and Ivory J Gober III, her nieces Regina Evans, Tanja Mueller, Elkie Crawford, Francesca McGee, Mitcha Choice,  Sharice Manuel, and one aunt Ollie Lawrence.
