Russell Noel Bookser, 63, of Denton, Texas, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Presbyterian Hospital, Denton, after a long illness. Russ was the beloved husband of the late Debra (Keast); beloved son of Betty (Crowley) Bookser and the late Charles E.; brother of Marilynn Berner (Kenneth) and Michael (Margaret). He is also survived by a niece, Kelly Ross (Mike), two nephews, Christopher Berner (Heather) and Michael (Katie) Bookser and 7 grand nieces and nephews. and devoted friends.

Russ was retired from the Federal Emergency Management Agency ( FEMA) and was a member of Stanfield Masonic Lodge, Denton. He had been a member of Brighton Heights Lutheran Church, Laurel Gardens Vol. Fire Co. and a social member of Sgt. Joseph D. Caskey American Legion Post 80, all in Pittsburgh.

There is no viewing and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Stanfield Masonic Lodge or a charity of your choice.
