IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ruth Ann
Donchess
March 4, 1942 – May 22, 2025
Ruth Ann (Robinson) Donchess, 83, of Oak Point, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 22, 2025, in Denton, Texas. She was born on March 4, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and friend.
After graduating from Canfield High School in 1960 with a focus in Business, Ruth's work career spanned various jobs including switchboard operator, permit clerk, retail sales, proof-reader, data entry and clerical. As a single Mom, she set a wonderful example of the importance of hard work and education while supporting her two sons. She gained additional technical and clerical training and skills to further her capabilities and facilitated the move of her family from Ohio to Texas in 1982. They settled in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Ruth spent over 22 years working at All-Pro Fasteners in Arlington, Texas before retiring in 2007.
Ruth fiercely loved her family and dear friends and loved giving to those in need. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, and she enjoyed cooking and baking, while spending holidays and birthdays spoiling her family and grandsons. She was truly one of a kind—full of love, laughter, and always giving more than she had.
In her youth, Ruth had a passion for dancing. Her family and friends would not be surprised if she is in heaven now, smiling that big smile of hers, dancing with Elvis and trading stories with Dale Earnhardt, Sr.—two of her favorites. Additional hobbies of hers were bingo, jigsaw puzzles, collecting figurines and kicking back with a beer while watching Nascar races.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Thomas Donchess and his wife, Sandra, of Titusville, Florida, and Steven Donchess and his wife, Stacey Purcell, of Oak Point, Texas, and two grandchildren, Brian Donchess and David Donchess.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Veta (Bush) Robinson, her sisters, Lois Robinson, Delores Robinson, and Janet Robinson, her brothers, Paul Robinson and James Robinson.
May Ruth rest in peace.
