Ruth Elizabeth Irwin, 82, of Denton, Texas passed away on Tuesday June 13, 2017. She was born on August 3, 1934 in Darlington, S.C. to Dixon Z. and Janie L. (Moneyham) Weaver.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Linda Hokit, son, Charles Hokit, two brothers, Thomas Weaver and Miles Weaver.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to invite those who knew Ruth to attend a memorial service in honor of her life well live on Friday June 16, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at the Southmont Baptist Church.

The family ask that no flowers be given. Instead please do an action in honor of the things that Ruth did for you. You might do a loving action for those in need or contribute funds one of the following or to a similar organization: The Shut in Ministry of Southmont Baptist Church in Denton, TX, the Salvation Army, the Humane Society, or a Veteran-focused ministry.
