Obituary
Ruth Ponder, 95, of Denton passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in Denton. She was born October 20, 1917 in Denison to Rupert Ernest and Hannah Roberson Ford. She married Earl Joseph Ponder on January 19, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2000. She was a member of the Willowwood Church of the Nazarene. She was a secretary for Firestone before her retirement.
Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2013 from 6 - 7 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Willowwood Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Mark Ramsey and Rev. Bruce Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, David Brown of Denton, 3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
