Obituary

Ruth Ann (Hoover) Shoaf 74 of Denton passed away on May 23, 2020 at The Vintage Health Care Center.  She was born in Gibisonville, Ohio to Amos Merlin Hoover and Naomi Irene (Hieber) Hoover.  She was a retired Health Care Giver.

Ruth is survived by a daughter, Shirley Swink and husband Gary of Pilot Point, Texas;  sister Mary Puckett and husband Bob of Crosby, Texas; brother David Hoover and wife Leia of Magalia, California ; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.

Ruth loved spending time with family and friends, and she would always put a smile on your face with her infectious laugh.  She also had a big heart for all animals. In her free time, she enjoyed the outdoors especially spending time in the mountains.

During her years in the health care profession she enjoyed caring for the elderly.

A family memorial will be held at a later date.  Her final resting place will be in Forest Ranch, California alongside her parents.

A special thank you to all the health care providers for your tender and loving care given to my mom.
