Sam Ferguson McCombs Jr., 87 of Denton, Texas passed away on Monday May 29, 2017 at home surrounded by family. He was born on November 26, 1929 in Denton, Texas to Sam Ferguson McCombs Sr. and Alma Frances Stafford.

He was a graduate of Denton High School and NTSC and served for a year in the Navy, followed by a year in the Army. He married Mildred S. Pritchard on August 15, 1980 in Denton, Texas.

Sam is survived by his wife Mildred, three daughters, Barbara McCombs, Beth McCombs, Brenda Huff, daughter-in-law Gina Lou Parsons-Pritchard, three sons, Terry Pritchard, Bob McCombs, Bruce McCombs, son-in-law Jeff Nicholson, and granddaughter, Grace Pritchard.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday June 2, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Park at 3:00 P.M.
