Sammy Lee Jones passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 in Corinth, Texas. He was born in Dallas, Texas to William and Bertha Jones on April 15, 1936. Sammy married Nell Carter Harris in 1997. He enjoyed going on Cruises and spending time with family. Sammy is preceded in death by his parents and by brothers Henry Jones,  and Tommy Jones, Sisters Betty Jones and Margaret Tucker and two grandsons Lee Jones, and US Navy veteran Joshua Jones.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 31, 2021 at DeBerry Funeral Directors from 10 AM to 4 PM, but the family will be greeting friends from 2 PM to 4 PM.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Open Arms Church in Lake Dallas. Interment will immediately follow the service at Shiloh Cemetery in Corinth, Texas.

Sammy is survived by his wife Nell and Brother Marvin Jones of Corinth, Texas sons Rev. Paul Jones and wife Teresa Jones of Oklahoma City, Rev. Marc Jones and wife Angela Jones of Buffalo, Texas, Tim Jones and Wife Christie Jones of Corinth, Texas, 12 Grand Children  and 15 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews--Stepdaughters, Jacqueline Robinson & husband Steve of Celina, TX, Paula Norris & husband Mark of Canton, TX, Stepsons, Stephen Harris & wife Sandra of Glenrose, TX, John Paul Harris & wife Daphnie of Lake Kiowa, TX, 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
