Sandra Lee Foster, 64, of Denton passed away at Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, TX , on April 22, 2017, surrounded by her family.  She was born in Merced, CA on March 21, 1953, to Paul F. Herrmann and Willa B (Craine) Herrmann.

Sandra attended Adamson High School in Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX and held a B.S. degree in nursing from Regis University in Denver, CO.  Sandra was a retired registered nurse and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International.  She and her husband were married in 1974 and traveled extensively with the United States Army.  Sandra was a proud mother and grandmother of two.  She was a member of the Cross Timbers Church in Argyle, TX.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017, in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, TX, followed by visitation.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 42 years, James Foster of Denton, TX; daughter, Diane Dooley of Leesburg, VA; sisters, Vernita Wright of Oroville, CA, Dorothy Wiley of Duncanville, TX, Sue White of Balch Springs, TX; brother, Irvin K. Herrmann of Hamilton, GA; and, grandchildren, James and Michaela Dooley of Leesburg, VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Melvin Herrmann.
