IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra Evans
Husted
March 14, 1938 – September 26, 2020
Sandra Evans Husted, 82 of Austin passed away at home on September 26, 2020. She was born in Austin to James E. and Barbara Trimble Evans. She was a graduate of Lamar University. She was a Social Worker, Consular, Chaplin and spent her life trying to help others. Her first Heroic act I remember, was stopping my father from molesting me at 4 years old. She was so traumatized she got Shock Therapy, which ended up causing her to have mental illness issues. But she never stopped trying to protect me, and it happened again at age 8. She tried to get help from the church, but they refused, she divorced my father and we left the city. She seemed to think I returned the act when I saved her from being left alone for 6 years with her mental illness and got her medical attention. Her doctor's office called it a miracle, the fear left her, she felt remorse, seeked forgiveness and I believe found redemption. It was my honor to take care of her every day and every hour, until her death. Love Chuck.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2020 at the Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas. She will be laid to rest next to her grandmother Sudie Maude Evans.
Sandra is survived by her son, Chuck Zeto, daughter, Barbara Schroder, and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunt, and uncle Beula Trimble Selzer and Raymond Selzer, dear cousins Dale, Glenn, Betty, Vicki Stone from Krum.
