Sandra Lee Swanson, born June 9, 1933, in Danville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on March 22, 2026, in Trophy Club, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.
Sandra lived a beautiful life spanning more than nine decades, defined by devotion, grace, and deep connection to those she loved. She attended Penn State University where she met the love of her life, Axel Swanson. Together, they built a remarkable partnership grounded in love, laughter, and shared adventures. They traveled the world side by side and spent many happy days on the golf course, enjoying each other’s company. Their marriage of 69 years was a testament to enduring love, lasting until Axel’s passing in 2021.
Sandra was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Kathleen Aramino, Axel Swanson IV, and Sue Johnston (Doug), along with eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren who will continue to honor her legacy and cherish the strong bonds she nurtured with each of them.
She touched many lives with her kindness, warmth, and quiet strength. Her family extends special gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Rudi and Susan, who brought her comfort and companionship and whom she loved dearly.
Sandra’s passing marks the close of a remarkable chapter, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered with deep respect and affection, her life a guiding light of love, resilience, and grace.
