Obituary

Sandy Walljasper, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on May 29, 2024. Born on August 16, 1956, in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico to Jose Angel Woolfolk and Ernestina Acosta, Sandy was a beacon of love and generosity to all who knew her. She was a graduate of Glendale High School in Glendale, CA.

A dedicated worker, Sandy spent the majority of her professional career in the medical field, working in the front office before her retirement. Her work was a testament to her caring nature and commitment toward helping others.

She was the proud mother of three children, Will, Stephanie, and Joseph, and stepmother to Matt. She was a doting grandmother to her four grandchildren and was excited to learn another grandchild is on the way.

Sandy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved to dance, especially salsa. An avid casino-goer, she had a lucky tradition of rubbing the screen with her rosary before each spin. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, and in later years enjoyed traveling with her grandchildren. She and her husband, Tim, enjoyed watching and attending Mavericks and Rangers games.

A faithful woman, Sandy prayed every day with her rosary. She often extended a helping hand to those in need, buying food for those less fortunate and embodying the true spirit of giving.

She is survived by her husband; children Will (Ardi), Stephanie, and Joseph (Vianka); grandchildren Landon, Zayden, Chloe, and Calissa; brother Hector; sister Olivia; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, former husbands William (father of Will and Stephanie) and Jose (father of Joseph), sister Belia, and brother Jose.

Sandy's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and generosity. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and all those whose lives she touched, forever and for always.
