"Her absence is like the sky, spread over everything." C.S. LEWIS
Sarah Emily Hale of Denton, TX has joined her husband, Charles "Chuck" Hale on his once unaccompanied tour in heaven. Sarah's journey on earth was highlighted by her many travels including the most important one as a flight attendant when she first met her beloved Chuck on a flight. Her other most memorable trip was to Israel with Chuck where they walked in the footsteps of our ancestors and enjoyed the beauty of the architecture and the people.
Sarah, a lifelong Methodist raised her family at Plymouth Park Methodist Church in Irving where she was active on the missions committee. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas including 4 years as a board member in the latter. She was instrumental in chartering a Children of the Republic of Texas Chapter in Irving to honor our family legacy in the formation of Texas.
An accomplished business woman as CEO of Hale Management Systems, Sarah earned her Bachelors of Business from UTA and later returned to UNT to gain a Masters in Vocational Education at the age of 52. She believed in the importance of higher education and impressed that importance on her children, niece, and grandnephews. Her greatest pride was watching the educational accomplishments of her loved ones, and she was particularly happy to see her youngest grandnephew graduate from high school and get accepted into the university of his choosing.
Apart from spending time with her beloved family and friends, Sarah was an avid golfer winning several club championships. She was an accomplished needlework and hardinger artist. Her garden full of roses was a source of pride for her.
Sarah's legacy of love and kindness lives on in those she leaves behind including her beloved daughter, Margaret Hale of Denton, son John (Vanessa) of San Antonio, niece, Cara Cross of Denton, grandnephews Crawford and Aidan McSpadden of Denton and Airman First Class Willam McSpadden (Deja) of Alamogordo, NM. Sarah has many other extended family members and friends who will also miss her dearly.
