IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sarita "Sarah"
Longoria
November 3, 1951 – October 14, 2024
It is with heavy hearts, grief, and acceptance that we announce the passing of Sarita "Sarah" Longoria 72, of Slidell, Texas. She received her angel wings on October 14, 2024, surrounded with family by her side. Born in the humble town of Goliad, Texas to Francisco Serna and Angelina "Costilla" Serna on November 3rd, 1951. Sarah spent her early childhood years attending Gregory ISD and Sanger ISD schools. During her precious youth years and being one of eleven children, she enjoyed spending quality time with her many siblings. She was a devoted daughter who helped her family in more ways than one. Sarah was always tending to others before herself and never hesitated to take the role of the caretaker.
Early on Sarah was employed as a Housekeeper for Flow Memorial Hospital and then employed by Victor Equipment Company as an assembly technician. She went on to work at Precision Pattern and C&CT Ventures as a quality control inspector before her precious retirement in 2018. Sarah spent most of her life in Sanger, TX where she created a legacy of love and dedication. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Fidencio Longoria for 48 years, a union that stood as a testament to enduring love and partnership. Sarah was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, where her gentle spirit and warm heart endeared her to all who knew her. Sarah's greatest joy was spending time with her family and upholding family traditions. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to garage sales, thrift stores, and her most favorite Casinos in Oklahoma.
In her passing Sarah is now reunited and rejoicing with our Heavenly Father and welcomed with open arms by her beloved father Francisco Serna, her beloved mother Angelina (Costilla) Serna, her brother Julio Serna, her sister Beatrice "Bea" Serna, and her brother Ricardo "Richard" Serna. Their reunion is a comforting thought for those left behind, knowing that she is surrounded by the family she loved dearly.
Sarah leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to her loving husband, Fidencio Longoria, and their children along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
