Obituary
Shannon Elizabeth Hoger-Heffner, 30, of Denton, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Denton. She was born September 21, 1985 in Fort Worth to Jay Robert and Cynthia Diane Lynch Hoger.
She attended Denton High and was a volunteer for the Denton Community Food Center, as well as a Mission trip to help the poor in Mexico with the University of North Texas. She married the love of her life, Jonathan Heffner in November 24, 2008.
Shannon was known for her beauty as well as her sharp wit and mind. She was passionate about her family and friends and never let a moment go by without telling them how much she loved them. She was a light in so many people's lives.
Sadly, illness had started taking its toll on her fragile body. Her soul was strong but her body just couldn't keep up anymore.
Her family would like to thank all of those medical professionals who took such great care of Shannon and gave her more than just healthcare, they gave her compassion: Dr. Douglas Hagen, Dr.Maricelle Sorolla, Dr. Mark Lowe, Dr. Daniel Caldwell, and Neurosurgeons Dr. Paolo Bolognese and Dr.Thomas Milhorat of Great Neck, NY.
Shannon is survived by her parents Jay and Cindy Hoger of Denton Texas; her loving husband of 8 years Jonathan Heffner of Denton Texas; Her best friend and brother James Robert Hoger II; her Grandmother Mary Hoger of Fort Worth Texas; and her Grandfather Robert R Lynch of Ridgeland MS.
She is preceded in death by her Grandfather Major James Hoger of Forth Worth and her Grandmother Florence E. Lynch of Fort Worth.
Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Mr. Tom Silva officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
