Shannon Michelle Simmons, 32, of Justin, passed away Tuesday following a tragic car accident, March 22, 2016 in Fort Worth. She was born January 24, 1984 in Denton. She graduated from Canon City High School in Colorado 2002 and attended College of Southern Nevada, Grantham University, Air Force Academy Cadet in paralegal JAG & TWU. She was employed with the Federal Aviation Administration. She served in the U.S. Air Force from May 27, 2003 until September 1, 2011. She was a member of Alliance Church Of Christ in Justin and enjoyed bible study and any and every occasion to have dates with her son! She was loved by all and will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Monday, March 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Senior minister Tom Bedichek and Brother Bruce Chamberlain. Burial will follow at Sanger Cemetery.

Shannon is survived by mother, Tammy James Forsythe of Valley View; her wonderful son, Tristan Cooper Tyner of Justin and his father, Kelly Tyner; sister, Amber Nicole Forsythe and niece Chloe Grace Wade, both of Canon City, CO; grandparents, "Skip" and Mary James; aunt Terry Shepard and husband, the late Duane Shepard; uncle, Danny and wife Beth James of Krum, aunt "lil" Debbie Farris of Denton, father, Robert Copeland of Denton, brother Cody Copeland of Krum. Grandparents, the late Butch & Glenna Copeland. Numerous cousins whom she adored, best friend and much loved by Shannon, Clint Partsky of Fort Worth.
