Sharon Kay Gwin Campbell, age 83, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, family, and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Sharon was born on September 8, 1942, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Lloyd Gwin and Myrtle Henderson Gwin. Graduated from Denton High in 1961. She grew up surrounded by strong family values that shaped her generous spirit throughout her life.
On January 28, 1965, Sharon married the love of her life, Larry Mac Campbell, at Cole Chapel in Denton, Texas. After their marriage, Sharon and Larry opened The Flower Garden, a business they lovingly owned and operated together for more than 35 years. Through her work, Sharon shared beauty, creativity, and care with her community, leaving a lasting impression on countless lives.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Campbell; her two sons, Dean Campbell and Justin Campbell and wife Manda; and her treasured grandchildren, Junie Kay (18) and Charlie Case (15). She is also survived by her sister, Cheryl Gwin Schertz and husband Kerry Lee; 22 nieces and nephews; and many, many friends whose lives she touched with warmth and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Myrtle Gwin, and her sister, Phyllis Gwin Cullum.
Sharon will be remembered for her loving heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her memory will continue to bloom in the lives she touched and the love she shared.
Visitation for Sharon will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Thursday, December 18 from 5:00 - 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Singing Oaks Church of Christ on Friday, December 19 at 2:00pm.
