Sharon Pritchard, 66, of Denton, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2025, in Denton, Texas. Born on April 7, 1958, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Eldon "Lew" and Marion (Pittaro) Hawes, Sharon's life was one of warmth, love, and cherished family moments.
Sharon's devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her beloved husband of many years, David Pritchard of Denton, Texas; her daughter, Katie Waters, and her husband, Blake, of Alvarado, Texas; her son, Kyle Pritchard, and his wife, Leslie, of Little Elm, Texas; and her sister, Linda Wilson, and her husband, Bruce, of Burleson, Texas. Her greatest joy was undoubtedly her four grandchildren, who brought immeasurable light into her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon "Lew" and Marion Hawes.
Sharon's passions were as vibrant as her personality. She adored her grandchildren, relishing every moment spent with them. Meals with her family were a cherished tradition, filled with laughter and delicious food, often prepared by Sharon herself. Sharon was also deeply proud of her Italian heritage, a passion that she shared with her family. As a dedicated Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan, she cheered for them every season, while also loving to travel and create lasting memories. Her pleasures included needlepoint, painting, and the playful competition of games. Known for her love of conversation, Sharon could easily engage with anyone, sharing stories and laughter with warmth and enthusiasm.
Sharon will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for her family, and her infectious zest for life. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be forever treasured by those who knew her.
The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 5:00 -7:00 PM, at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
A graveside service will be held at Edgerton Community Cemetery in Edgerton, Kansas on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM. A visitation will be held prior to the graveside at Bruce Funeral Home in Gardner, Kansas from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
