Sherri Lea King, 75, of Watauga, Texas, lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the simple joys that brought people together. Sherri was the daughter of Elmo Douglas Canon and Juanita Marie Admire and she grew up surrounded by her siblings Vicki Daniels, Corky Canon, Deana McDonald, and Tommy Canon. Though she faced the loss of her parents and brother Corky, before her passing, they continued to shape her journey.
A devoted mother to Jeff Kohl, Natalie Kohl, and Jamie Kohl, she poured her heart into raising her children with strength. Her legacy lives on through her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who knew her affectionately as "Nana.' Her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother made her proud. Sherri's life was filled with cherished traditions and heartfelt connections. She loved gathering with family and friends to play cards, a pastime that brought laughter to many. Her passion for the outdoors led her to camping and fishing trips that created lasting memories for those who joined her. Whether it was at the annual family reunion or a quiet day spent watching movies, Sherri found happiness in moments shared with loved ones.
Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. A woman of deep spiritual conviction, Sherri regularly read her Bible and made time each Sunday to watch church sermons. Her unwavering belief provided comfort not only to herself, but also to those around her. She was deeply loved by many and will be profoundly missed.
Her kindness, strength of spirit, and devotion to family leave an enduring imprint on all who knew her.
