Shirley Ann Brown, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Sanger, Texas, on Friday, December 13, 2024. Born on June 29, 1944, in Asher, Oklahoma, Shirley devoted her life to her family, becoming the heart and soul of those who loved her.
Shirley was a devoted wife, a cherished mother, and a proud grandmother. She is survived by her four children and their families: Cary Brown and wife Tina of Lago Vista, Gayla Choate and husband Brian of Coppell, Marty Brown and wife Ninfa of Krum, and Mitch Brown and wife Carol of Frisco. Known lovingly as "Grammy," Shirley brought warmth and joy to her eight grandchildren: Brandy Singleton, Brooke Diaz, Bailey Guillaume, Madi Jo Quiroz, Garrett Choate, Connor Choate, Braxton Brown, and Brooklynn Brown, as well as her 14 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Bennie Parrent of Dangerfield, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Denton County, Shirley's greatest happiness came from spending time with her family. Her legacy of love and togetherness will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew her.
Shirley is reunited in Heaven with her husband of 56 years, Joe Brown, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, Walter and Emma Louise Parrent, her sister, Betty Jenkins, and her brother, Duane Parrent.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at 10:00 AM, followed by funeral services honoring and celebrating Shirley's life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, at North Texas Trinity Cowboy Church in Sanger, Texas.
Shirley will be remembered for her kind spirit, unwavering love, and the beautiful memories she created with her family.
