Shirley Ruthann Jeffrey, 82, of Austin, TX passed away on September 4, 2018 in Austin, Texas. She was born in Romia, Oklahoma near Yuba on the family farm on August 5, 1936

She graduated from El Cerrito High School in El Cerrito, CA. and attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. Shirley lived in Denton, TX for over 40 years. She was a Precinct Chairman of the Denton County Republican Party and also served as 1st Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee and supported many candidates. Shirley was an Episcopalian and a member of St. David's of Wales. She also participated in many other faiths.

Shirley is survived by her brother, Hubert Donald Carr Jr. Of Fresno, CA., daughters, Robin Kimberly Reese of Austin, Tx; Paula Cherie Lyon of Chester Springs, PA., Michelle "Missy" Jolie Jeffrey of Key West, FL., two grandchildren, Zachary V.A. Reese IV and Natalie Serene Lobach and one great grandchild, Zachary Trey Reese.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Dwight "Jeff" Wendell Jeffrey and her parents, Hubert D. Carr and Pauline Blaine Carr.

A memorial service will be held September 29, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, TX.
