Sidney Clyde Campbell, 67 of Van Alstyne, TX went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, March 26, 2016. Sid was born August 12, 1948 in Dallas, TX to Loyd and Dorothy Campbell. He served in the U.S. Army for more than a decade and was especially proud to have served in Vietnam. Later, he trained and became a senior computer database programmer. After retirement, he enjoyed having more time to spend with his family, fishing, computer gaming, and researching family histories.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of Van Alstyne, TX, son Sidney Campbell Jr. of Sanger, TX, daughter Melissa Milbocker and her husband Tim of Sanger, TX, step-daughters Priscilla Anderson and her husband Andy of Van Alstyne, TX, and Rebecca Anderson and her wife Taylor of San Diego, CA, grandchildren Jacob Campbell, Bailey Milbocker, Whitney Anderson, and Anderson Haglund, brother Loyd Campbell and wife Amy of Plano, TX, sisters Susan Saavedra of Provo, UT, and Priscilla Campbell of Mongomery Village, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Deberry Funeral Home at 2025 West University Dr. Denton, TX 76201. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at DeBerry Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Denton, Texas.
