Stanley Anthony Bohinc (Col., ret.), 83, of Denton, Texas passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Veterans home in Bonham, Texas.  He was born on May 20, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio to Stanley and Christine (Stariha) Bohinc.  Stan married his best friend Darlene Ann Kopf in 1957.

Stan, a registered Architect, served his country in the Air Force for 26 years.  He had a very positive attitude toward accomplishing his goals and believed that teamwork and a "can-do" attitude were the keys to success.   As a commanding officer he encouraged those who served under him to set goals and high standards for themselves.  In leisure time he enjoyed golf, photography, gold panning and working in the yard.  Most important to him was his family.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene Ann, daughter, Debbie Heck and husband Steve, sister, Jean Stark and husband Larry, and brother, Herman Bohinc and wife, Eileen.

He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Christine Bohinc and brother John Bohinc.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 4-6 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Argyle United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at D.F.W. National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
