Stephanie Lynn (Owens) Beard departed this life on Friday, March 7, 2014 in Era Texas. She was born in Irving on August 10, 1981 to Dan and Becky (Bradshaw) Owens. She attended elementary, middle and high school in Krum, Texas where she enjoyed playing softball, basketball and she played the flute in band. She obtained an Associate of Applied Science, Business Management Degree from NCTC. She worked as a Secretary and Accounts Receivables Clerk for Wilson McClain Plumbing. Stephanie enjoyed many hobbies and could quickly become an expert in any area that she chose. She was an excellent mechanic and helped to build her own custom chopper motorcycle with her husband Kevin. She had a very creative and artistic ability which shone through when she would make jewelry, quilts and a variety of crafts with her daughter Lexi. She liked to cook for her family. She nurtured an interest with her daughter in cooking and they shared in many activities such as getting their nails done. Stephanie supported Cameron in his endeavors to build things from Legos, to models, to assembling a tool box and a love for motorcycles. Stephanie and her husband enjoyed riding motorcycles with the Denton Motorcycle Club (DMC) and other groups. Many weekends she spent enthusiastically going on camping and four-wheeling adventures with her family and friends. Her many friends have described her as being: "sweet", "caring", having an "ability to make other people smile", "confident", "a friend to all", and "beautiful for the way she thought."

Stephanie was a loving wife to Kevin Beard, adoring mother to son, Cameron and daughter Alexis, devoted daughter to Dan and Becky Owens, loyal sister to Jessica Clark and aunt to Jayden Clark. She is survived by in-laws, Randy and Melanie Beard, Grandparents Gerald and Lucille Bradshaw, Jim Owens and preceded in death by her Grandmother Lee Owens. She leaves behind many friends and family who will miss her. Her memory will live in our hearts until we meet again.

The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Friday March 14, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm for visitation. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Krum, TX. Interment will follow at the Valley View Cemetery in Valley View, TX. Donations may be made to the "Stephanie Beard Family Trust" @ Northstar Bank of Texas, to benefit the children.
