Obituary

Steve Wayne Richter, 69, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018. He was born in Dodge City, Kansas and was the second child of Homer W. Richter and Betty E. Scrack Richter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He will be greatly missed by his five surviving brothers and sisters and their spouses: Pamela Morris and husband Jack, Jill Sage and husband John, Michael Richter and wife Laura, Jerry Richter and wife Dee, and Heidi Carey and husband Dennis, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Steve was an Eagle Boy Scout and served in the United States Air Force as a Minuteman Deputy Missile Combat Crew Commander with Top Secret Clearance. He was honorably discharged as a Captain in 1974. Steve graduated from Brewer High School, Ft. Worth in 1966 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from North Texas State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Montana. He had a long successful business career in retail sales for over 40 years and most notably, the last thirty years selling men's tailored clothing for Dillard's Department Store in Denton. He received many awards to include Top Salesman for several years. He retired in 2016.

A Memorial Service will be held on April 10, 2018 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX. Arrangements are being made by DeBerry Funeral Directors, Denton, TX.
