Steven Duncan Hale, age 69, passed away surrounded by the comforts of home on Friday, August 9, 2024. Born January 2, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas, Steve was a graduate of University of Texas and Texas Tech Law School.

Steve lived an extraordinary but simple life, and was regarded by all who knew him as compassionate yet steadfast. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather; an honorable attorney and colleague; but above all, a humble and faithful servant of God.

Steve is survived by his wife Karen Hale, whom he deeply loved for twenty four years;  his children and their spouses, Lauren Hale [Kendra] Roberts, Anne [Tony] Ngyuen, Jacquelyn [Josh] Robertson and Alex Marti; his brothers and their wives, Mike [Mitzi] Hale, and Richard [Gail] Hale; and his grandchildren Sean, Madison, Claire and Graham.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, William Ronald "Bill" Hale and Carolyn Haithcock Hale.

Funeral services will be held 2p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at St. David of Wales Episcopalian Church in Denton, Texas.
