Obituary

Sue Gail Aday, 82, of Lake Kiowa, TX, passed away October 9, 2021, at Cottonwood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Denton, TX. She was born on November 20, 1938, in Chelsea, OK to Cleo Paul 'Toby' Fox and Susie Ora Alice (Paris) Fox.

After graduating from high school in Chelsea, she attended Business School in Tulsa, OK before marrying Billy Lee Aday on January 11, 1958. They began their life together in Tulsa. Although her first job was wife and mother, she also worked as a secretary, a cafeteria worker at Memorial High School and a Teacher's Aide at Adams Elementary School. She was very supportive of her family in their activities and enjoyed weekend shopping trips with her sister, daughter, nieces, and great nieces/nephew.

In 1979 she moved to Derby, KS where she and Bill soon became empty nesters. At that time, she took great pride in caring for their beautiful lawn and began golfing in couples and women's groups. They later moved to Winfield, KS to be closer to a golf course. After retirement they moved to Lake Kiowa, TX. Although Gail was no longer golfing, she enjoyed weekly trips to Winstar Casino.

Gail is survived by her son, Michael Aday of McPherson, KS, daughter, Lyneille Meza of Denton, TX (and her husband Michael). She was also blessed with five grandchildren Jason Aday, Justin Aday, Franchessa Meza, Jessica Meza Kehler, and Emilio Meza, and two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Makynzie Aday.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four sisters Anna Dean Patterson, Mary Alice Harrell, Cleo Pauline West, and Yvonne (Sally) Fox.

At Gail's request there will not be a public memorial service.
