Obituary

On March 11, 2025, Suzanne April Regnier Welch, a loving mother of 5 children, passed away at the age of 83. Sue was born in Ashland,  Wisconsin on April 5, 1941, to Walter Regnier and Margaret McLaughlin Regnier. She received a bachelor's degree in art from Iowa State University and worked as an occupational therapist, child welfare worker, and RN.


On January 24, 1965, Sue married David Welch in Iowa. The family lived in Texas, Arizona, and North Carolina where Dave was an Army Chaplain. Sue and Dave were blessed with 5 children, their crowning jewels, Kathleen, Mark, Mary, Christie, and Michael.


Sue found joy in working on her family history, volunteering at the LDS Dallas Temple, writing books and biographies for her family, quilting, and taking pictures of Blue Bonnets.


Sue is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her 2 sons. She is survived by her 3 daughters, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

(1801 Malone Street Denton, Texas).

The funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M. at the church.

Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton .
