IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tammie S.
Mccool
February 24, 1964 – February 7, 2022
Tammie S. McCool, 57, of Aubrey passed away on February 7, 2022 at her home. She was born on February 24, 1964 in Wellington, Kansas to Weldon and Jewel Maxine Rhodes.
Tammie moved to Texas in her high school years and attended Sanger High School where she graduated in 1982. April 8th 1983 she was introduced to Mike, April 10th they had their first date and on July 2nd that same year they were married and started our family here in Denton. She worked at First State Bank for many years until it was purchased by Wells Fargo and she left the banking industry. She worked for Orthopedics and Associates for a few years and ultimately ended up at Kroger. She spent the last 18 years at Kroger where she had the privilege of seeing familiar faces and used every opportunity she had to talk about her family. She was proud of us boys and wasn't afraid to tell anyone who gave her the chance. It was at Kroger that she employed the "Treat people the way you want to be treated" method and she was always sporting the shirts she had made. One message, BE KIND. If you spent a single moment with my mom you would learn very quickly that if she was anything, she was KIND and that's all she wanted people to share, Kindness.
She is survived by her husband, Mike McCool, her sons; Michael McCool, Jr., and his wife, Tiffany, of Denton, Caleb McCool of Denton, Stephen McCool and wife Sarah of Denton, sisters, Betty McCall of Kansas, Connie Cole of New Mexico, and four grandchildren Brianna, Angel, Nya and Nina McCool.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister, Patty Schell, brothers, Sandy Rhodes and Robert Rhodes.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 20 from 1-3 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 22 at 2 P.M. at First Denton Church 1100 Malone St.
She will be laid to rest at Gribble springs Cemetery with her mother and Father.
