Taylor L. Carrasco, age 23, of Denton, Texas, was taken from us far too soon on March 14, 2026. Born in 2002 to Maria Morales Ponder and Sammy Carrasco, Taylor brought light and warmth to everyone around him throughout his vibrant life.
His unexpected passing has left a profound sorrow among his family, friends, and loved ones, who continue to grieve the loss of a young man with so much potential yet to be fulfilled. Taylor’s family kindly asks for prayers and support as they navigate this heartbreaking time.
Taylor had a genuine love for life that shone through in the simple joys he cherished. Whether it was baking for the holidays or grilling for his friends, his thoughtfulness and caring nature were ever present. He faced his own challenges with quiet strength and always made time for those he loved. Deeply family-oriented, Taylor treasured moments spent with his cousins and those closest to him held him in great affection and appreciation.
He is preceded in death by his baby cousin Max E. Morales, and he leaves behind his mother, Maria Ponder; father, Sammy Carrasco; stepfather, Roy Ponder; grandmothers, Maria Morales and Patti Shelburne; grandfather, Eduardo Morales Saavedra; brother Steven Carrasco; sister Alexa Carrasco; uncles Jose Morales and Emilio Morales; aunt Jackelynne Mendes; and a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The Ponder, Carrasco, and Morales families are deeply heartbroken by this tremendous loss. Though Taylor’s journey was brief, the memories of his kindness, warmth, and spirit will forever remain a cherished treasure. His family finds comfort in these memories as they honor the life of a beloved son, brother, and friend whose presence touched all who knew him.
