TERESA ANN NALLEY

Teresa “Teri” Nalley was born Teresa Ann Josey in Rotan, Texas, on November 15, 1946, to James Daniel Josey Sr. (of Sylvester, TX) and Ruth Blondell Bagwell (of Tallapoosa, GA).

Her siblings are James Daniel “JD” Josey Jr. (deceased) and Darlene Cleveland.

Teri graduated from high school in Hamlin, TX.

She married Fred Nalley (of Wewoka, OK) on October 16, 1973. They moved to Merkel, Texas, due to Fred being an Air Force Tech Sergeant stationed at Dyess AFB in Abilene. Teri became a librarian at Merkel Middle School.

Fred left the military, and the couple eventually discovered a new life in Denton, Texas. There, Teri worked as a professional secretary for the City of Denton from 1985 until 1996.

In the summer of 1996, the couple moved from Denton to Briggs, Texas, to be closer to their son Brad. Fred passed away from natural causes on July 28, 1996, on their final trip from Denton. Fred was buried at Gillum Cemetery in Oakalla,Texas which was just down the road from their new home. Teri would continue living on her new property in the county and commuting to Georgetown, where she again became a professional secretary for The City of Georgetown.

Following her retirement from the City of Georgetown, she moved back to Denton and started working for the City of Lewisville as a secretary. She earned another retirement.

Now formally retired, she dedicated much of her time to Denton Bible Church. She played cards on a regular basis with several ladies from the church. And, she even went on missionary trips to include Nicaragua.

She is survived by her sons, Brad and Jason, her grandchildren, Sheldon, Aiden, and Asher, and her sister, Darlene.

Although buried next to Fred at Gilum Cemetery, she now resides with her Lord and Savior.

Her favorite song was Blessed Assurance.
