IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry Lee
Chadwell
November 30, 1959 – November 14, 2025
Terry Lee Chadwell, age 65, of Denton, Texas, passed away on November 14, 2025, in the comfort of his home.
He was born on November 30, 1959, in Amarillo, Texas, to Roland and Mary Ruth Chadwell. Terry was raised in Amarillo, Hereford, and later in Irving, Texas, where he graduated from Irving High School. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Terry worked as a Certified Financial Planner and dedicated more than 25 years to Pacific Life, where he was highly regarded as an expert in his field and a trusted colleague and friend.
Terry married Maria Galindo in 1983, and together they made their home in Denton and raised three children. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather. In his own words—while he loved each of his children dearly—"this Grandpa thing is a whole different level of fun!"
He will be remembered for his unrelenting kindness and his ability to bring joy to others. Terry took pride in helping those around him—whether offering a neighbor a ride when their car had broken down, sharing thoughtful advice, or simply being the person who always answered the phone and always showed up. He was an avid Texas Rangers fan and faithfully wore burnt orange on fall Saturdays.
Terry came to truly know Jesus during his college years in El Paso, and his faith became the steady foundation of his life. He turned to scripture daily for wisdom and strength, and his home overflowed with Bible verses that reflected the faith he carried in his heart. His family finds comfort knowing he is now at home with the Lord.
Terry is survived by his three children, Stacy Chadwell, Rebecca Hunt and her husband Jared, and Andrew Chadwell; and by his two grandchildren, Wyatt Hunt (2) and Nathan Hunt (3 months). He is also survived by his siblings Carl Chadwell, Kirby Chadwell and his wife
Terri, and Clay Chadwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Gene Chadwell and Mary Ruth Hamilton (Strange).
A memorial service will be held on November 21, 2025, at DeBerry Funeral Directors at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. To honor Terry, the family welcomes either flowers or donations made in his name to Samaritan's Purse.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to friends and relatives for their support during this time. "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 3:13–14
