Terry Jorj Egge, (76), of Aubrey, passed away at his home on July 4, 2015. Terry was born on September 14, 1938 to Edwin Nugene Egge and Melba Madden Egge in Canton, South Dakota. He married Shirley Mae Arends on September 4, 1956 in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Mr. Egge was a 1956 graduate of Rapid City High School, a 1961 graduate of Black Hills State College and did graduate work at North Texas State University and the University of Georgia. In 2008, Black Hills State College celebrated its 125th anniversary and Terry was named as one of its 125 Most Accomplished Alumni. In the 1960s, Terry taught and coached high school basketball in Wyoming, Michigan and South Dakota. In 1970, he began working at Deluxe Corporation, a fortune 500 company. Terry retired in 1993 as a senior vice president and national sales manager.
Mr. Egge is survived by his wife, Shirley Mae Arends Egge of Aubrey, Texas, two sons, Terry Darin Egge and his family, Melodie, Jessica and Heather of Frisco, Texas and Rand Stuart Egge and his family, Jamie, Maranda, Brynna and Zach of Flower Mound, Texas and a daughter, Carolyn Sue Egge Ferguson and her family, Rob, Savannah and Faith of Denton, Texas. Terry is also survived by brothers Nugene (Gene) Egge and his wife Jenny of Newcastle, Wyoming and Larry Egge of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edwin Egge, mother Melba Madden Egge, brother Sheridan Egge, sister Donna Hammermaster and daughter, Marlene Louise Egge.
A memorial service will be held in the Sanctuary at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church, 6101 Morriss Road, Flower Mound, Texas 75028 on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Terry's final resting place will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City, South Dakota.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking family and friends to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
