Thomas Ray Blair, 80, of Corinth, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Denton. Thom was born September 25, 1933 to Fred C. and Eureka Dixie Blair in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Cerise Cameron on March 28, 1956 in Austin.
Thom graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He spent the early part of his career at Convair/General Dynamics in Fort Worth, and later at Lockheed Missiles & Space in Sunnyvale, California. He was a Registered Professional Engineer, spending the last 30 plus years in environmental engineering. His proudest achievement was being selected one of 5 engineers who secretly designed the YO-3A silent reconnaissance airplane used in the VietNam. Only a few YO-3As remain, one hanging in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cerise Cameron Blair; sons Steven C. Blair of Marlow, United Kingdom, Paul Calvin Blair & grandson Tyler Blair of Corinth, Texas; Stewart and David Freegard and 3 great grandchildren in United Kingdom.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Flower Mound, Texas at 2 pm, Saturday, May 3. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimers Association.
