Thomas James Burke III, 81, of Denton passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012. He was born on June 3, 1930 in Springfield, MA to Thomas James Burke II and Oleda Harrison Burke. He married Sue Miller in December of 1978. He was the president and CEO of his company, Burke Tax Service and served in the Navy during the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm with a service starting at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with John Childs officiating.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Sue; daughter, Jackie Barr; son, Craig Barr; sister, Patricia Boyer; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Joby Barr.
