Obituary
Thomas "Tom" Deussen, 60, of Ponder passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born September 18, 1951 in Denton to Eddie and Maurice Thomas Deussen. He married Terre Ortyn on September 16, 1996 in Ponder. He was a welder for Peterbilt Motors, member of Ponder Baptist Church and Ponder Volunteer Fire Department.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors.
He is survived by his wife, Terre Deussen of Ponder; daughter, Gerri Clawson and husband Cary of Borger; son, Scott Deussen of Denton; sister, Paulette Clement and husband Matt of Ponder; step-children, Matt Knarr and wife Tara of Decatur, Margaret Valles and husband Daniel of Katy, and Meredith Sparks and husband Josh of Ponder and 6 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and previous wife, Shari Deussen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eddie Deussen Scholarship Fund, c/o Ponder High School.
