June 17, 1968 – June 6, 2013
Tommy passed away peacefully in his sleep early Thursday morning after a long battle with advanced diabetes.
He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Debra Burns Knapp of Sanger, TX, his parents Jack and Whitney Knapp of Sanger, TX, his sister Lindsay Barrilleaux, her husband Jon and their 2 children Jack and Katie of Denton, TX, his step daughter Tawnya Strittmatter, her husband Joey and their son Jared of Denton, TX, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tommy loved life and loved living at the farm that he grew up on in Sanger, TX. He had a kind heart, a great smile and a terrific sense of humor that will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 6-8 pm in Denton, TX. A memorial service to celebrate Tommy's life will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Ducks Unlimited.
