Obituary

Thomas Earl Manie, 82 of Denton, TX, passed from this earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was born September 1, 1939, in St. Louis, MO to Fred and Pauline Smith Manie. He grew up in Osceola, Ark. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1960-1964.

He married Betty Dalrymple on November 11, 1960, in Fort Collins, Colorado.  They lived in California, Missouri, and then moved to Denton in 1966. She preceded him in death in November 2006.

Tom worked for American Sign and Indicator Corp, Frito Lay, owned Tom's Appliance Service, and retired from Boeing.

He is survived by his three children, Dana and Nolan Egbert of Montrose, CO, Jeff Manie of Denton, and Becky and Dowl Morrow of Sanger. He had seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Manie, Trent and Shaina Egbert, Ty and Kaylee Egbert, Katie and David Kuntz, Carlye and Grant Carter, Caleb Egbert, and Allye Morrow. He also had six great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, twin brother and dear sister in-law, Terry, and Linda Manie.

Tom loved fishing and camping with his family and dear longtime friends Charlie and Ann Cannon. He also loved painting.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
