Thurman (Ralph) Lantrip, 91, of Pilot Point passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was born September 27, 1923 to Walt and Nellie Jeffcoat Lantrip. He married the love of his life, Mary Ruth Meinen on January 26, 1942, spending 71 years making many lasting memories along the way.
Ralph served his country from 1944 to 1946 in the U.S. Army and retired from the Texas Highway Department and was a long-time member and Deacon of the former Rock Hill Baptist Church.
He loved hunting, was an avid fisherman and loved to fire up his smoker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Ruth Lantrip, son, Michael Lee Lantrip, and brother, Clyde Lantrip.
He is survived by two sons, Billy Lantrip and wife, Mary of Pilot Point, and Tommy Lantrip and Becky Measan of Denton; daughter-in-law, Oleta Lantrip of Aubrey, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. prior to the Memorial Service at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating.
