Timi Huey Winter, age 54, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning , February 8, 2020 at her home. She will be remembered for her giving spirit, her Catholic faith and her infectious laugh.

Proceeded in death by her parents, Les and Betty Huey and her brother, Jeff Huey, Timi was loved unconditionally by them. She is survived by her daughter, Grace, who was at the forefront of every decision Timi made. She also leaves behind her former husband, Kirk Winter and his son, Kyle. Additionally, Timi will be missed by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn (Kevin) Crowell, Dani (Michael) Willard, several nieces and nephews and dear friends, neighbors, and colleagues too numerous to mention.

Timi joined the Dominican Sisters of St Cecelia right out of high school in Nashville, Tennessee. As Sr. Stephen Marie, Timi received her Bachelor of Arts degree as well as her Master of Arts and began her teaching career in Louisiana, Tennessee and Alabama.

After leaving the convent, Timi moved to Lewisville, Texas, to be near her family. She held both teaching and administrative positions in the Lewisville ISD. Most recently, Timi led as Assistant Principal for the past five years at Central Elementary in Lewisville, where her positive impact in shaping the next generation was immeasurable.  Timi has been active in her St. Mark's community, as well. Her favorite pastime has been keeping up with Grace's many extracurricular activities. Grace was the light of Timi's life.
